Ajac, a pretty village built on a hill between Limoux and Chalabre, overlooks a valley covered with vineyards. The old village included the Castle and the Church, its origin dates back to the Ninth Century.

Parochial church, of Romanesque origin, remodeled in the 18th century, dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul – in the chapel are the burials of the lords of Ajac Levis-Ajac family.
