Loupia is a small village located between Limoux and Mirepoix on the banks of the Blau stream. The village has retained its primitive form. It was first defended by a first enclosure, closed by a single gate, placed in the South. A second circular enclosure was enclosed in the first one. It protected the fortified church placed in the center. Today half of its surface of the commune is devoted to the vine.
