The Limouxin Tourist Office is a community structure serving 76 communes and more than 600 partners
– It is piloted by an operating board composed of elected officials and tourism professionals
– It is composed of a team of 7 permanent staff, including multilingual holiday advisers: 6 languages spoken (FR, ENG, ESP, ITA, RUSS, POL)
– It is an interlocutor: for service providers, institutional partners, project leaders, the national, regional and departmental network of Tourist Offices
As part of the tourism competence of the Limouxin Community of Municipalities, the Intercommunal Tourist Office implements actions to boost and promote the Limouxin territory. It also contributes to the materialization and structuring of the tourist offer, diversified and qualitative, thanks to missions and actions of development and engineering.
Promotion of the territory
The very essence of the Tourist Offices, the OTI du Limouxin works first and foremost to promote the territory and to inform tourists and visitors on a departmental, regional and international scale.
To do this:
- It ensures the physical, telephone and digital reception of visitors and inhabitants at the reception sites throughout the year and this in a reinforced manner during periods of influx (summer season, events, extended weekends…). By providing personalized answers and professional stay advice, it is also and above all a business reporter for the tourist and economic actors of Limouxin.
- It makes sure to meet visitors where they are by decentralizing the stay advice: temporary information points on the main tourist sites, participation in tourist fairs, events on and outside the territory…
- It promotes the destination on social networks: FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM, and on digital tools, in particular its website, by promoting the assets and tourist activities, turning them into a real showcase of the territory,
- It promotes the destination to the press and journalists, by contributing to the realization of articles and paper and video reports,
- He advises and distributes tools and brochures adapted to the wishes and requests of visitors, turnkey, which he shares and distributes to local actors to facilitate access to information and tourism offer.
