Roquetaillade and Conilhac

This new commune, created as of January 1, 2019, is the result of the merger of the communes of Conilhac-de-la-Montagne and Roquetaillade.

The village of Conilhac de la Montagne is known for its dominant vineyard, in the Blanquette de Limoux appellation. Essentially composed of vineyards, this village has on its heights a belvedere where you can contemplate the Pyrenean chain, from Mont Cardou to Saint Barthélémy.

Roquetaillade clings to the rock and dominates the valley of Corneilla. Its vineyards and stone houses built at the foot of the medieval castle, make it a picturesque, peaceful and welcoming little village. The Pic de Roquetaillade or Pic de Brau is the highest point of the Limouxin.
