Rennes les Bains

Rennes les Bains, coquette spa is nestled in the heart of a green valley dominated by the Pics de Bugarach and the Cardou. It is crossed by the Salz, all along which springs gush out whose benefits have been known since ancient times. The hot springs, five in number, produce water whose temperature varies between 34 ° C and 44 ° C. Their virtues are known in rheumatology and osteoarticular trauma. Rennes les Bains is the only Thermal Station of the department Audois.

Rennes-les-Bains

Across the centuries…… form naturally! Located in the Upper Aude Valley, in the pleasant setting of the Sals Valley, at an altitude of 310 m, the Rheumatology Spa of Rennes-les-Bains, knows how to combine the benefits of its waters with the pleasures of discovering the Aude backcountry. A village of 200 inhabitants, 50 kilometers from Carcassonne and 25 kilometers from Limoux, Rennes Les Bains is truly the gateway to the Corbières. Halfway between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees, in the heart of the Cathar country, between the Cardou mountain (796 m) and the famous Pic de Bugarach (1231 m), the first foothills of the Pyrenees, Rennes-les-Bains is a Thermal, Climatic and Tourist Resort and a Green Resort. Thanks to its environment, its warm waters, its salt river and the warm welcome of its inhabitants, you will enjoy a stay in Rennes-les-Bains, whose benefits you will appreciate. Its mild and stable climate, its cold and hot springs, known for a long time for their therapeutic virtues, its heritage, testimony of an important colonization in the Gallo-Roman period, make this resort a privileged place for tonic, family and relaxing vacations. It is also the starting point for a circuit of sites to visit: The Castle of Arques, the Abbey of Alet les Bains, Rennes le Château, full of mystery with the fabulous treasure of Abbé Saunière, and the Cathar Castles (Montségur, Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, Puylaurens, Lastours, Puivert), without forgetting the famous Cité de Carcassonne
