Nested in the picturesque Cougaing valley , Castelreng is separated into two suburbs by the river. The settlement of the present village dates from the Middle Ages. It was built around a castle of which some stones adorn the facade of a house.

Fortified Romanesque church, remodeled and expanded over the centuries. Of the old building is preserved the back wall that supports a bell tower-wall, and part of the side walls, delimiting a vast porch, entrance to the medieval village.
A hike between La Digne d’Amont and Casterleng, allows you to discover the Cougaing valley.
