Antugnac

Dominating a ripening valley bathed by the Croux, the village of Antugnac rises in amphitheater on the southern slope of a hill. One of the main assets of this village is its vineyard of 150 ha. Indeed, the sunny hillsides surrounding Antugnac create this famous sparkling white wine better known as Blanquette de Limoux.

The Romanesque church of Antugnac represents an interesting specificity of fortified churches of the Middle Ages. It was surrounded by a surrounding wall and defended itself by a crenellated parapet resting on solid walls that still exist.

The Vineyard Trail crosses vineyards which are part of the ” Blanquette de Limoux ” appellation. Along the trail, enjoy the procession of colors in the vineyard related to the changing seasons.
